Happy Birthday Dearest Daughter of Ours

Now we are OLD too, if you think you are!! Happy Birthday, honey! The journaling on this reads:

"A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future."

I did this layout for you with one of the pictures you sent me. I used butterflies and paper from the Digital Design Den designers (Laura and Lisa).

Hope it was the best birthday ever, and a wonderful year ahead--full of good fortune, good health, happiness. We sure are looking forward to being nearer!

Love
Mom and Dad

At the Boys and Girls Club

Here DGD shares a page out of her journal --she did the scrapbook page (I did the pictures)--with NITA's new "Something's Fishy" kit available at Digital Design Den.

The journaling says This is Monica's aunt. she's in charge at the Boys and Girls Club. I gave her roses too.
And then her story: "Once upon a ;time in Washington. I was with my Grandma and Grandpa and of course Chester. I went to the boys and girls club. It was so fun. I loved the trip to Grandma and Grandpas. It was the best.

I was surprised that it rained. I was eight. I et some friends named Morgan and Alie and brie and Sheeila. I gave Mary (the Directress) some roses. But I had to go home on Friday. But at least I got to go.

I had the best time. The End"

She had a wonderful time learning how to do digital scrapbooking and had so much fun with this colorful kit.

The Dandelion

DGD found some dandelions in a nearby meadow, and we had some fun with them!

Around the frame is written:
"See my leaves with tooth-like edges;
Blow my clocks to tell the tiime;
See my flaunting by the hedges,
In the meadow, in the lane,
Gay and naughty in the garden;
Pull me up-I grow again,
sking neither leave nor pardon.
Sillies, what are you about
With your spades and hoes of Iron?
You can never drive me out-

ME, the dauntless DANDELION"

I used background paper from "mixed media" a kit designed by Durin Eberhart at Scrap Girls. The font here is BlackJack.

Daisies are Sunshine to the Ground

This time of year the fields of daisies carpet our Valley, and as far as your eye can see are little specks of sunshine on the ground. I used Misty Cato's marvelous Verandah Breeze kit (Scrapbook-Elements) on this layout, and the KidTYPEPaint font.

My Favorite Place

I did this layout for the brand-new Digital Design Den which opens today. One of the first challenges at the DDD was to scrap your Favorite place. So this was my take on the challenge while I look through scads of pictures to find some photos from some of the many thousands of places we've visited.

This uses Lie Fhung (Ztampf.com) Compassionette kit elements and one of her beautiful artistic frames. The journaling is in Jugend, which was the font of the week challenge at Three Scrapateers with Kimmi and Rina for this week.

My bestpal, Nicki, took a bunch of pictures with this idea in mind "Favorite Place--in my Husband's Arms"--Thanks Nicki, wasn't that fun to get just the right one--and you did! I love this layout!
