A Boy and his feathered Pal

This is a picture of WW and his pal Fred. Fred hatched last June 23, and this photo was taken about a week later.   The text for this fun layout  and fascinating photo says:

Grasshopper hunting is interesting with Fred.  He sneaks up, snaps his head like a rattlesnake and captures one in his beak. . . Fred shakes his head rapidly which must stun the grasshopper or kill it.  Then he pecks at it two or more times and then swallows it down legs including back hindlegs and all. Full grown grasshoppers!

At night Fred sleeps on the garage door railing and during the day when
both Duke, the dog, and Fred are taking their afternoon rests they are
sometimes right next to each other.

I created this layout with Papers, masks and embellishments by Anna Aspnes in one of her art-play palettes.

WOW, you have captured the photo moments and placed them in a setting of gold! The turkey head was taken through the screen door glass So Fred wouldn't know he was the subject of the lens. DW
